Type: Dry

Why is your skin type DRY?
Some factors include; heredity, hormones, if you live in cold, dry climates, certain skin disorders/diseases, malnutrition, and aging

Symptoms include: Tightness (especially after cleansing), flaking, and redness, sensitivity, dull appearance

Dry skin can be extremely uncomfortable at times and is best to be treated with a moisturizer rich in vitamins and minerals

Ingredients to look for are products containing Vitamin E, lactic acids and alpha hydroxy acids, glycerin, petroleum, synthetic lanolin

Ingredients to avoid are alcohol, fragrance, and other irritants

There is a difference between skin TYPE and skin CONDITIONS.
Skin Type: Never changes and you only have one skin type. Usually caused by internal factors and genetics.
Skin Conditions: Can have multiple conditions and can they change constantly. Usually caused by external factors such as climate, use/misuse of products, and some types make-up.

There are 5 basic Skin Types; Dry, Sensitive, Normal, Oily/Oily Combination, Acneic

There are several skin conditions; Dehydrated, Sensitized, Premature Aging, Post Inflammatory/Hyper-pigmentation, Hypo-pigmentation, Breakouts/Congestion

It's important to know that your favorite Skin Therapist can only treat your skin CONDITIONS, we can't change your skin type, but you can still expect great results with regular treatments and proper home care!
